Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how wive ("we", "us") handles your personal data when you use the wive web and desktop apps and related services (the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and giving you control over your data.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by the wive team. For privacy-related questions or requests, contact us at legal@wive.app.
2. Data we collect
We collect data you provide directly (account details, profile information, health records, financial data you enter, tasks, messages to AI assistants, and files you upload). When you connect integrations, we receive data from those services with your consent — for example, wearable metrics from Terra, calendar events from Google Calendar, or account balances and transactions from your bank via Enable Banking (open banking). We also collect basic technical data needed to operate the Service, such as device type, browser, and error logs.
3. Bank account data (open banking)
If you connect a bank account, you are redirected to your bank to authorize access under PSD2 open banking rules. We never see your bank login credentials. Through our provider Enable Banking, we receive only the account information and transaction history you authorize — typically balances and booked transactions for up to 90 days per consent period. You can disconnect your bank at any time in Profile → Integrations, which stops future access.
4. How we use your data
We use your data solely to provide and improve the Service for you: displaying your dashboards, syncing connected integrations, powering AI assistants with context you choose to share, sending invitations you initiate, and maintaining the security and reliability of the platform. We do not sell your personal data.
5. Legal basis (EEA/UK)
Where applicable under GDPR, we process your data based on: performance of our contract with you (providing the Service), your consent (for optional integrations like bank linking), and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, balanced against your rights.
6. Storage and retention
Your data is stored in Google Cloud/Firebase infrastructure in the EU region where configured. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records for legal or security purposes. Bank connection tokens are encrypted and removed when you disconnect an integration.
7. Third-party processors
We use trusted service providers to operate the Service, including Google (hosting and authentication), Enable Banking (open banking connectivity), Terra (wearable data), Stripe (subscription billing), Resend (email), Twilio (SMS), and AI model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic) when you use chat features. These providers process data only on our instructions and under appropriate agreements.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to withdraw consent, to object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact legal@wive.app. You can delete your account and data from the app at any time.
9. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypt sensitive integration credentials at rest, and restrict access to production systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data using industry-standard practices.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
11. Contact
